FunCOOLio

“FunCOOLio” is a Latvian instrumental funk/fusion band, formed in 2007, in Riga. The band composes their songs using the unique Hammond organ sound. The band plays self-composed music and it brings a pleasant listening experience. In the summer of 2014 «FunCOOLio» released a debut album “VOL.1”  consisting of 11 instrumental compositions. In support of the album release the band toured Estonia, Latvia and Poland and performed at “Jazz in the Ruins” 2014 (Gliwсe, Poland) and Riga Funk Fest 2014 (Riga, Latvia).

“VOL.1” was nominated for Latvian music records award of the year (Golden Microphone 2014) in category “Best jazz music album”. In august 2016 the band succesfully perfomed in Kaliningrad City Jazz festival, sharing stage with famous bass player and singer – Richard Bona & Mandekan Cubano band (USA).
