Finnish Glass Museum, Riihimäki
Scandinavian glass design has been internationally appreciated throughout the 20th century. Functionalist design appeared in its purest forms in Scandinavian utility glassware and unique, one-off objects of an abstract character. The collaborations of designers and glass manufacturers had significant impact in terms of cultural history, and designed glassware in everyday use even demonstrated the democratic spread of ”good taste” among the public.
